Costas Paris is a senior reporter for The Wall Street Journal covering global shipping, trade and supply chains, based in New York. A 20-year veteran with Dow Jones, Costas worked in Thailand as Asia’s features editor, in Singapore as Southeast Asia bureau chief and in London and Athens covering the European Union and the International Monetary Fund. 

He previously worked for Reuters, covering the Balkan wars of the 1990s. Costas won a William R. Clabby award in 2011 for breaking news on Singapore and the Greek debt crisis, and a Seahorse Freight Association award in 2022 for his coverage of global supply chains.
