Eric Sylvers is a reporter for The Wall Street Journal based in Milan, Italy. He covers economics, politics and corporate news with a focus on Southern Europe.
Eric joined the Journal in 2014 after working for the Financial Times and the New York Times. He began his career writing about energy policy in Washington, D.C., for Bloomberg News. He has also covered technology, fashion and finance.
A native of the Golden State, Eric graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, and earned a master’s degree in economics and international relations at the Johns Hopkins School of International Studies.
