Nidhi Subbaraman is a science reporter for The Wall Street Journal. She writes on a range of topics in biology and medicine, from air pollution to viruses. She is interested in the life of scientists and the enterprise of science, including research misconduct.

Nidhi joined the Journal from Nature, where she reported on biomedical research and the National Institutes of Health. Prior to that, she was a reporter at BuzzFeed News, where she often wrote about public health and the environment, with a focus on communities grappling with polluted water, and at the Boston Globe, where she covered science and startups.

Nidhi has a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Miami University and master’s in science writing from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is based in Washington, D.C.
