Peter Saidel is a senior editor on the publishing desk of The Wall Street Journal, with a focus on international news.
His previous roles at the Journal include serving as a deputy editor managing coverage of world news and as Mideast editor in the early days of the Arab Spring. More recently, he managed and contributed to the live coverage of the war in Ukraine, working out of New York and London.
Peter got his start in journalism in Vietnam in the early 1990s, and later worked as assistant managing editor of the Dow Jones weekly Far Eastern Economic Review in Hong Kong. He has a master of fine arts degree in fiction from Columbia University.
